Did you know that there is an association that has been cultivating Slovak culture, traditions and promoting friendship for over one century? It is one of the oldest associations in the Serbian Vojvodina at the Slovak Cultural Centre of Pavol Jozef Šafárik from Nový Sad. This renowned association is chaired by our colleague Vierka. She and other members of the association are celebrating the prestigious award that they have been awarded by the Serbian president.
We are happy as well, since we are tremendously proud that our colleagues are promoting culture and art which are very important areas of life. The 100 years anniversary of the SCC of P. J. Šafárik is not their only success. The association operates in Serbia from 2013 and it has been commended on the Serbian Statehood Day. February 15 will mark an important milestone in the history of this association. On this day, the association has become the proud owner of a gold medal award that is issued to meritorious institutions that contributed in the cultural areas. The award has been granted by the Serbian president Aleksandar Vučíc and has been claimed by our IMAO team member: Vierka Marčoková Cerovská on behalf of the SCC of P. J. Šafárik.
We hope that our support of the association and our employees contributed to their success, and will continue to aid them in their further development and their unique mission to cultivate culture, traditions and friendships in the Slovak spirit. We congratulate them and wish them many more centenaries and significant awards!
